With Al Horford & Marvin Williams dinged up right now, the Hawks need 26-year old center Zaza Pachulia to pick up the pace.  In his last three games, Pachulia is averaging 25.0 minutes, 5.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 1.0 steal per game.  The Hawks need more production out of him than he is giving them right now.  He has played in 44 games (1 start) for the Hawks so far this year and he is averaging 14.4 minutes, 4.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.  Pachulia needs to find some heart and get back to the player he was just a couple of years ago.

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,Game Recaps,General by admin on Monday 17 January 2011 at 1:53 am

The Hawks were outrebounded 45-32 and they didn’t play any D last night as the Rockets shot 54% from the floor, so it’s no surprise that the Hawks lost last night.  Joe Johnson led the way for the Hawks in this game with 30 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal.  Al Horford (24 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 1 steal) and Josh Smith (21 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot) also had very solid games for the Hawks last night.  It’s too bad that Johnson, Horford and Smith didn’t get much help from the other 9 Hawks last night.  The Hawks are now  26-15 on the year.
