The Atlanta Hawks re-sign Jason Collins
The Hawks have re-signed 31-year old center Jason Collins. Collins played in 24 games (0 starts) for the Hawks last season and he averaged 4.8 minutes, 0.7 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. He has now played in 596 games (429 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 22.7 minutes, 4.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. Collins will be sitting near the end of the bench in 2010-11 for the Hawks.

What a stupid move. Just shows you how serious management is. The nets fans couldn’t wait to see Collins go, I’m pretty sure that’s how the hawks fans feel.
The hawks need more help off the bench than just crawford. bibby isn’t helping much and should be replaced. Maybe replace Bibby with Monta Ellis.
At this point the hawks should start all over by building around josh smith. I say bring in atlanta native dwight howard somehow. I’d like to see the departure of joe johnson, marvin williams and al horford, especiallly horford.
Dwight Howard isn’t going anywhere Don. The Hawks had chances to trade Marvin Williams but they decided to keep him around for some reason. Horford, Johnson and Smith are the players the Hawks are building around and that likely isn’t going to change any time soon. Don’t be surprised if Jeff Teague beats out Mike Bibby at the point either.
