The Hawks have signed 29-year old shooting guard Flip Murray earlier today. Murray is instant offense off of the bench and the Hawks need that to help replace Josh Childress. Murray played in 42 games (19 starts) for the Pistons and Pacers last season and he averaged 20.8 minutes, 9.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Murray should be good for 25-30 minutes off of the bench for the Hawks this season and he will likely average over 10 points per game. Flip Murray has now played in 332 games (88 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 22.4 minutes, 9.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. This was a good signing for the Hawks.
