Josh Smith is only shooting 36.3% from the floor this season but it’s all of the other stuff he does on a basketball court that makes him a star. Smith has played in 13 games this season for the Hawks and he has averaged 36.1 minutes, 16.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 3.8 blocked shots per game. If Smith starts to shoot better soon he will have a good chance to make the All-Star team this year.

The Hawks shot 59.7% from the floor and they outrebounded the Bobcats 38-29 in the game last night which were two big reasons for the win. Joe Johnson led the way for the Hawks with 34 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Josh Childress also had a solid game off of the bench with 23 points and 5 rebounds., Marvin Williams continued his solid play this season as he scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Hawks are now 3-4 on the season.

The Hawks didn’t rebound as the Wizards punished them 53-41 on the glass plus the Hawks only shot 39% from the floor. Josh Smith led the way for the Hawks with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocked shots. Joe Johnson also had a solid game with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Marvin Williams had his best game of the season with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. The Hawks are now 2-4 on the season.

The Hawks were outrebounded 39-29 and they allowed the Celtics to shoot 61.2% from the floor in this game and those were the reasons for the severe beat down they suffered. Al Horford led the way for the Hawks with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Joe Johnson also had a decent game with 16 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Marvin Williams pitched in with 14 points. The Hawks are now 2-3 on the season.

The Hawks hit the boards hard last night and it was a big reason they won the game (56-40). Josh Smith had another monster game to lead the way for the Hawks with 22 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 5 blocked shots. Marvin Williams was also outstanding with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists. Josh Childress had an incredible game off of the bench with 19 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Al Horford was the enforcer inside with 8 points, 15 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. The Hawks are now 2-2 on the season.

The Hawks didn’t shoot well (38.2% from the floor) and they were outrebounded 45-35 in this game and those were the big reasons for the loss. Josh Smith really stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 5 steals and 4 blocked shots. Josh Childress had a great game off of the bench with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Joe Johnson also had a decent game with 15 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. The Hawks are now 1-2 on the season.

The Hawks almost got a huge victory on the road against the Pistons but the Pistons outscored them 32-22 in the 4th quarter and that cost the Hawks this game. Joe Johnson led the way for the Hawks with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Marvin Williams also had an outstanding game as he scored 22 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 2 assists. Josh Smith had an off night shooting as he was only 4 of 17 from the floor. He still did other things to help the Hawks as he scored 13 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out 2 assists, stole the ball 2 times and blocked 5 shots. The Hawks fell to 1-1 on the season with this loss.

It’s not too early to get excited Hawks fans after tonight’s victory! The Hawks outscored the Mavericks 33-25 in the 4th quarter to win this game. They also pushed the Mavericks around on the glass as they outrebounded them 52-38 in this game. Joe Johnson was unstoppable tonight as he scored 28 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 4 assists. Josh Smith had a stat sheet stuffer with 18 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots. Marvin Williams (16 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists) and rookie Al Horford (9 points, 10 rebounds in only 23 minutes) both also made an impact in this game. The Hawks are now 1-0 on the season.
