Joe Johnson was outstanding when he was healthy for the Atlanta Hawks
Joe Johnson only played in 57 games last season and that hurt the Hawks on the court. When Johnson played he was outstanding. Johnson averaged 35.6 minutes and in that time he averaged 25.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Johnson also was outstanding shooting the basketball from anywhere on the court! He shot 47.1% from the floor, 38.1% from 3-point range and 74.8% from the free throw line. The Hawks must keep him healthy if they are to fly high next season.
Johnson’s career numbers have spiked upwards do to his fine season. He has now played in 462 games and he has averaged 15.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steal per game over his NBA career. His FG% has improved to 44.4% and his three-point % has went up to 37.6% for his career. He’s free throw shooting last season brought his career % down to 76.4%. Still, Johnson had a great season and his career numbers will likely continue to improve.
