Zaza Pachulia needs to step it up to get his starting job back

Blogged under Need to step up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 23 January 2007 at 12:13 pm

Zaza Pachulia has had a rough time since coming back from injury as he’s not yet got his starting job back.  The Hawks need him to earn his job back because his hustle is a good example for the younger Hawks players.  He’s only averaging 7.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in his last six games.  He needs to double that to get his starting job back.

Josh Childress steppin’ up big time for the Hawks

Blogged under Steppin Up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 23 January 2007 at 12:08 pm

With Speedy Claxton and Tyronn Lue both out with injuries, Joe Johnson has solid over to point guard for a little bit.  The Hawks really needed someone off the bench to step up it the backcourt and Childress has been that guy.  In his last 7 games, Childress has averaged 15.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game.  He’s also been a very hot shooter as he’s hit 55.4% from the floor in those games.  The Hawks need Childress to keep playing well because the Hawks are not a very deep team.
